Barry Yang is an Chinese painter, best known for his Children portraits in the Realist style.
Yang born in China and began to paint at the early age of six. His interest in art led to an opportunity to study with a well-established artist in the area, before eventually being accepted to the local college of fine art.
Yang then found employment with the state owned newspaper as the Editor for Art and Design.Yang has traveled throughout China and has visited much of Europe and the United States. Because he prefers the simplicity of rural communities to the loud noises of city life, Yang frequents small villages in the countryside. Many of his paintings are from his travels to rural Tibet. Yang’s passion is painting the children in these villages to capture their natural beauty and innocence. In order to better understand his painting subjects, Yang and his wife will stay in the village where they can have daily contact and build relationships with the locals. After several days the children will befriend them, allowing them to draw portraits and take photos.
