Vu Cao Dam | Modern Figurative painter


Vũ Cao Đàm (1908-2000) was a Vietnamese painter. He was one of the alumni of Victor Tardieu's École des Beaux-Arts de l’Indochine in Hanoi in the 1930s, along with Mai Trung Thứ, Lê Phổ and woman painter Lê Thị Lựu to emigrate to France and make a career in Paris.
  • Childhood
Vũ Cao Đàm was born on January 8, 1908 in Hanoi, Vietnam. A member of a large Catholic family, the artist was the fifth of fourteen children. His father, Vu Ding Thi, was an intellectual and talented artist who excelled in Chinese calligraphy at an early age. His extensive studies of the French language, as well as a trip to Paris in 1889, left Vu Dinh Thi with a long-lasting fondness for French culture. This affection was passed on to his children, and Vũ Cao Đàm would develop his own deep admiration for French art. Throughout his career, Vũ Cao Đàm continually looked to the work of French artists for inspiration.

Nguyen Khac Chinh, 1984 | Symbolist / Surrealist painter

With a harmonious combination of colours, both modern and imbued with Eastern culture, the set of paintings entitled "The Life of Mannequins" by artist Nguyen Khac Chinh brought to viewers a unique, interesting perspective on life and humans in a contemporary art space.
Born in 1984 in Hanoi, Vietnam, Nguyen Khac Chinh graduated from the Hanoi University of Fine Arts in 2006, and is a highly skilled artist in oil painting thanks to his participation in group exhibitions since he was a student.
During his years of studying and taking part in art exhibitions of different forms, such as installation, performance, video art, oil painting and lacquer painting, he accumulated a thorough knowledge and experience of art.

Chie Yoshii | Surrealist /Visionary painter


Japanese by birth, Chie Yoshii moved to the US, where she completed BFA at Massachusetts College of Art in 2000 and studied with Adrian Gottlieb from 2002-2008.
Much of her work is inspired by the analogy between mythological tales and the human psychology.
She currently lives and works in Los Angeles.

Dao Hai Phong, 1965 | Landscape painter



Vietnamese painter Dao Hai Phong, the son of the well-known artist Dao Duc, studied at the Hanoi College of Film and Theater from 1982-1987 and won an award for his outstanding designs at the Vietnam Film Festival. His main medium is oil on canvas. Although he had painted as a hobby from the age of six, it was only after his graduation that Phong started to focus on developing his unique painting style.

Dang Can, 1957 | Landscape/Figurative painter


The Vietnamese painter Dang Van Can was born in 1957 in An Duc commune, Long Ho District, Vinh Long Province, the place is located along riverside of Mekong river in Vietnam. He showed an early talent in drawing and painting. He commenced to art works since 1976 with main job as a illustrator for local newspaper and magazine.
Dang Can is a member of Vietnam Fine Arts Association.
He has many paintings in Private Collection in many countries.
