Daniel Rodgers is an figurative artist and illustrator living in Sunderland, UK.
"I'm a freelance illustrator and artist that specialises in making illustrations on the realistic side of things.
As you'll see through this site I like to work on a variety of subject matter from traditional Christmas cards to fantasy and scifi illustrations.
Above all I find it most satisfying to inject some element of story into my work.
My work focuses on a love of painting and drawing with a narrative context".



"I enjoy using oil or watercolour on a variety of surfaces such as canvas, paper, timber board".
Besides this, I also create digital artworks, sometimes purely digital and sometimes working back and forth between digital and traditional techniques.
Capturing a moment of beauty, telling a story or just painting for the love of putting colour on canvas all motivate me to create.
A special focus of my work is portraiture in which I look to convey subtle emotions through considered brushwork.
My work reflects who I am as a person.
My hope is to convey the emotions that I feel through that which I create and elicit a genuine response from the viewer".

"- Sono un illustratore ed artista freelance specializzato nella realizzazione di illustrazioni dal lato realistico delle cose.
Mi piace lavorare su una varietà di argomenti, dalle tradizionali cartoline di Natale alle illustrazioni fantasy e fantascientifiche.
Soprattutto trovo più soddisfacente iniettare qualche elemento di storia nel mio lavoro.
Il mio lavoro si concentra sull'amore per la pittura ed il disegno con un contesto narrativo".


- "Mi piace usare olio od acquerello su una varietà di superfici come tela, carta, tavola di legno.
Oltre a questo, creo anche opere d'arte digitali, a volte puramente digitali e altre volte lavorando avanti e indietro tra tecniche digitali e tradizionali. Catturare un momento di bellezza, raccontare una storia o semplicemente dipingere per amore di mettere il colore su tela mi motivano a creare.
Un focus speciale del mio lavoro è la ritrattistica in cui cerco di trasmettere emozioni sottili attraverso pennellate ponderate.
Il mio lavoro riflette chi sono come persona.
La mia speranza è trasmettere le emozioni che provo attraverso ciò che creo e suscitare una risposta genuina da parte dello spettatore".
