Cristina Fornarelli, 1978 | Pop Art painter

Cristina Fornarelli is an Italian contemporary figurative painter.
Fornarelli was born in Bari, in Southern Italy where light and colors have influenced her art.
After art school, she attended the Institute of Industrial Design in Rome, where she still lives and works.

Her pictorial work is essentially centered on the concept of femininity and search for a continuous balance, a theme very dear to the artist.
The works have an intense chromatic strength, the colors are pure, applied directly with the spatula; the vision of his works transmits such a passionate force as to arouse an immediate involvement of the senses.

The subjects of her paintings are always women in the balance, suspended in the void, precisely to underline a sense of ephemeral balance.
Nothing is certain in those barely glimpsed figures, caught in relaxed and nostalgic attitudes.
The artist paints dreams in which he manages to slow down the flow of time like a slowly rewound video cassette.

Related to figurative painting, transforms tradition through a dreamlike and feminine taste strongly influenced by vintage advertising layouts, in which the subject wants to communicate emotions rather than transmit content.
Fornarelli has exhibited in many galleries and participated in numerous international fairs, solo exhibitions in Turkey, China, the Netherlands and Italy.
