Boris Indrikov, 1967 | Magical Realism painter

Борис Индриков is a Russian painter contemporary artist, renowned for his highly detailed work in the genre of fantastic realism.

His unique visual language seamlessly weaves together elements of surrealism, symbolism and Art Nouveau, heavily influenced by the masters of the European Renaissance and Eastern cultures.

Born in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg), Indrikov initially pursued engineering before shifting his full focus to art in 1990.

He worked as an illustrator and book designer for the popular science magazine "Chemistry and Life" throughout the mid-1990s, which helped hone his meticulous graphic style.

His paintings are celebrated for their hypnotic, rhythmic lines and flowing, organic structures.

He often works in a distinct monochromatic or muted, earth-toned color palette.

Indrikov approaches his art as a form of meditation, treating the canvas as a parallel universe.

A member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia and the UNESCO International Federation of Artists since 1998, his work has been displayed in galleries worldwide - including major art fairs in Tokyo, Zurich, and Rome.

Currently based in Moscow, Indrikov has expanded his portfolio beyond large-scale oil canvases to include three-dimensional design, sculpture, and custom textile/fabric design under his brand Boris Indrikov Gallery.

Борис Индриков è un pittore, grafico e scultore Russo, noto a livello internazionale per le sue opere ascrivibili al realismo fantastico.

Indrikov fonde con maestria elementi di surrealismo, simbolismo ed Art Nouveau in un linguaggio visivo unico ed ipnotico.

Indrikov è nato a Leningrado, vive e lavora a Mosca.

Dal 1991-1997 ha lavorato come illustratore per la rivista scientifica “Chemistry and Life”.

Nel 1994 ha iniziato la sua carriera di pittore professionista.

E' membro della Federazione Internazionale degli Artisti dell'UNESCO.

Ha esposto le sue opere in numerose mostre sia in Russia che all’estero: -Art-Manezh 2002, 2003, Drommar Svezia, Nykoping 2004 ed altri.

La sua creatività si esprime principalmente in realismo magico, non di rado ispirata dalle culture orientali.

Le sue opere si trovano nelle collezioni private in Russia, Svezia, Olanda, Germania, Francia, Svizzera, Giappone e Stati Uniti.
