Yuri Kuzmin / Юрий Кузьмин is a Russian painter, widely known for his highly detailed, nostalgic depictions of Parisian cityscapes during the Belle Époque era.

Consistent with the artists previously discussed, he belongs to the classic Soviet-era lineage of painting.

Though Russian by birth, Kuzmin developed an intense fascination with France.

He lived there for extended periods, and his primary artistic focus became the streetscapes of old Paris.

His work heavily captures the "Beautiful Era" of Paris (late 19th to early 20th century).

His canvases frequently feature historic omnibuses, flower markets, vintage storefronts, rainy boulevards and figures dressed in period clothing.

Kuzmin specializes in manipulating light to depict varying weather conditions and times of day, creating romantic, dreamy scenes of the city in winter, autumn, or lit up at night.

Кузьмин was born in Leningrad, Russia, a suburb of Moscow.

In 1974 he graduated from the V.I. Surikov art institute of Moscow.

Yuri Kuzmin is a member of the Union of Russian Artists since 1985.

Yuri Kuzmin / Юрий Кузьмин, nato a Leningrado (l'odierna San Pietroburgo), è un apprezzato esponente della pittura paesaggistica contemporanea, famoso soprattutto per le sue romantiche vedute urbane ispirate alla Belle Époque parigina.

Nel 1974 si è laureato presso l'Istituto di Belle Arti. V.I. Surikov a Mosca.

Kuzmin ha vissuto molto lungo a Parigi ed è rimasto affascinato dalla città, le sue strade e le piazze, la vita dei parigini.

Dal 1985 è membro ufficiale dell'Unione degli Artisti Russi.

Innamorato della cultura e delle atmosfere francesi, Kuzmin ha trascorso lunghi periodi della sua vita in Francia, traendo continua ispirazione dai suoi scorci storici.

L'antico fascino di Parigi: La sua produzione si concentra quasi interamente sul paesaggio urbano, con una predilezione assoluta per la Parigi della Belle Époque ed i suoi monumenti storici (come la Porte Saint-Denis ed il Boulevard des Italiens).

Le sue opere catturano le strade parigine animate da carrozze, passanti con ombrelli e luci soffuse, riproducendo magistralmente gli effetti della pioggia, della neve e del riflesso dell'illuminazione stradale sull'asfalto bagnato.

Lavora prevalentemente con la tecnica della pittura ad olio su tela.
