Tina Garrett, 1974

In 2012, after a career as a freelance cartoon illustrator and graphic designer, the Scottsdale Artists’ School awarded Tina the first of two merit scholarships based on a handful of self-taught pastel portraiture, and she began learning how to paint, dedicating herself to the full-time practice of understanding oil painting.

By 2014 Tina earned the first of four Purchase Awards in the 11th and 12th International ARC Salons. Tina’s works, “City Blues”, “String of Pearls”, "Melancholy" and "Bravado" are now part of the Art Renewal Center's renowned permanent collection.
Tina’s recognitions also include Best of Show in the 51st National Women Artists of The West Show, Oil Painters of America Online Showcase 1st Prize, The International Artist Magazine People and Figures Grand Prize, NOAPS Best of America People’s Choice Award and Second Prize awards and Portrait Society of America International Art of The Portrait Competition Select 50.


In 2015 Tina earned a designation of ARC Associate Living Master from the Art Renewal Center and a Master Artist designation from the National Oil and Acrylic Painters’ Society and in 2018 Tina earned a FASO BoldBrush Signature Artist designation.
Tina’s works have participated in National and International shows at some of the finest representational art venues including Museum of Modern Art Europe (MEAM) in Barcelona, Spain, and the Salmagundi Club in New York City, the Booth Western Art Museum, The Museum of Western Art in Kerrville, Texas, Principle Gallery, VA, Settlers West Galleries, Gormley's Galleries in Ireland, Lore Degenstein Gallery, Cutter and Cutter Galleries, Legacy Gallery, Bozeman, Montana and more.
Tina’s works have exhibited alongside great works by artists Pamela Wilson, David Leffel, Arantzazu Martinez, Daniel Gerhartz, Nick Alm and others.
















Nel 2012, dopo una carriera come illustratrice di cartoni animati e graphic designer freelance, la Scottsdale Artists' School ha assegnato a Tina la prima di due borse di studio al merito basate su una manciata di ritratti a pastello autodidatti, e ha iniziato ad imparare a dipingere, dedicandosi alla pratica a tempo pieno.
Nel 2014 Tina ha vinto il primo di quattro premi nell'11° e 12° Salone Internazionale dell'ARC.
Le opere di Tina, "City Blues", "String of Pearls", "Melancholy" e "Bravado" fanno ora parte della rinomata collezione permanente dell'Art Renewal Center.
