Vladimir Fechyk (Fecik) was born in Mukachevo, Ukraine.

He began painting early, and he began attending the Children's School of Art at 10, and continued there for 4 years.

At the age of 15 he attended the State School of Art in Charkov, Ukraine, also for 4 years.

David Burliuk | The Father of Russian Futurism

David Davidovich Burlyuk, Burlyuk also spelled Burliuk / Дави́д Дави́дович Бурлю́к (1882-1967), Russian poet, painter, critic and publisher who became the centre of the Russian Futurist movement, even though his output in the fields of poetry and painting was smaller than that of his peers.

Burlyuk excelled at discovering talent and was one of the first to publish the poetry of Velimir Khlebnikov and to recognize Vladimir Mayakovsky’s brilliance.

It was largely because of Burlyuk’s efforts that the Russian avant-garde became known in Europe and the United States.

He is a lecturer in art at Kharkov State Academy of Design and Arts since 2006.

Member of the Ukrainian Union of Artists since 2004.

Many of his paintings are held in private collections in Great Britain, Holland, France and United States.

Ukrainian artist Irina Vitalievna Karkabi was born in Kharkov, Ukraine.

Her artistic talent was noticed by those around her in early childhood.

In 1982, almost immediately after graduating from the Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg, she, along with her husband and newborn son, moved to the city of Haifa in northern Israel (occupied palestine), where she settled on the seashore.

There, at the Mediterranean crossroads of cultural ideas and artistic trends, Irina founded her studio.

Born in Odessa, Ukraine, Olga Krimon / Ольгa Кримон received academic art education in Kazan, Russia.

She continued to grow and develop her skills later in America, through drawing classes with Glen Orbik and painting classes with Jeremy Lipking.

Olga also holds a BA in Art History, and she credits it with providing her the rich visual vocabulary that is instrumental for defining her path as an artist.

She also received an MBA making her well grounded in the business side of an artistic career.

Ilya Yefimovich Repin / Илья́ Ефи́мович Ре́пин, (1844-1930), Russian painter of historical subjects known for the power and drama of his works.

Born to a poor family near Kharkov, Repin learned his trade from a painter of icons named Bunakov and in 1864 became a student at the Academy of Fine Arts at St. Petersburg.

Red and green, blue and orange, yellow and violet: these color combinations were vital to the artistic practice and theory of Sonia Delaunay-Terk, whose vast body of work-paintings and drawings, prints and illustrations, textiles and furnishings, clothing and accessories-enthralled its earliest viewers, users, and wearers.

While living in Paris in the 1910s, Delaunay-Terk and her husband, Robert Delaunay, began to explore the visual properties of contrasting colors-colors opposite one another on the color wheel.

Olga Grigoreva-Klimova / Ольга Григорьева-Климова was born in the city of Shchelkino,  in Crimea.

She graduated from the Crimean Art College Nicholas Samokish and the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture of Ukraine (Kiev).

Since 2007 she has been a participant of republican and all-Ukrainian exhibitions.

Works are in the Kiev Museum of Modern Art, as well as in private collections and galleries in Ukraine, Russia, USA, Taiwan, Poland, Romania, China, Switzerland, Great Britain.

Svetlana Tartakovska was born in Berditchev near Kiev.

She lives and works in The Netherlands and she graduated at the Klassieke Academie voor Beeldende Kunst (Classical Academy for Visual Arts) in Groningen.

She also studied at The Art Academy in Florence and attented workshops at Sam Drukker.

She is a young woman with a rich inheritance from an old culture: a treasury of world-famous authors including Dostojewsky and Lermontov and great painters like Repin.

Nikita Busyak | Urban sketcher

Nikita Busyak comes from Ukraine, the city of Kharkov, and it is this city that he depicts in his incredible illuminated architectural sketches.

In each architectural drawing, he digitally manipulates the windows so that they glow with golden light, making it seem as though someone is home.

Ukrainian artist Артем Толстухін / Artyom Tolstuhin studied at the Mykola Samokysha Crimean Art College, founded in 1922, and he graduated from the Kharkov Academy of Design and Arts, Restoration Department in 2011.

Tolstukhin was elected to the All-Ukrainian Young Artists Union in 2008.

Tolstuhin has emerged as one of the leaders of the Union as well as of the Degrazh, the association of young Kharkov artists.

Gapchinska was a student at Kharkiv Art College and graduated from The Institute of Industrial Arts in Kharkiv.

Zhenia Gapchinska also had an internship at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg, Germany.
