Se tu non parli
riempirò il mio cuore del tuo silenzio
e lo sopporterò.
Resterò qui fermo ad aspettare come la notte
nella sua veglia stellata
con il capo chino a terra
paziente.

Ma arriverà il mattino
le ombre della notte svaniranno
e la tua voce
in rivoli dorati inonderà il cielo.
Allora le tue parole
nel canto
prenderanno ali
da tutti i miei nidi di uccelli
e le tue melodie
spunteranno come fiori
su tutti gli alberi della mia foresta...

If you do not speak
fill my heart for your silence
and I will bear it.
I will remain here stop to wait like the night
starred in his wake

the shadows of the night vanish
and your voice
gold in streams will flood the sky.

take wings
