Martín La Spina, 1973 | Surrealist painter

Martín La Spina, Argentine painter, was born in La Plata. He was graduated as a Professor and Bachelor of Fine Arts -painting orientation- in the Fine Art College with a distinction for his high qualifications.
He has participated in many exhibitions, either single or collective. He was also specially invited, in Painting, Drawing and Art in Glass Saloons from the year 1989 until now.
He receive many awards and prizes for his artistic work.



Since 1990 he has performed his own individual exhibitions. During 2002 it was in the city of Barcelona, Spain, where he exposed his paintings, among many other galleries we can mention Rainbow Gallery, in Sitges.
In 2003 he studied scenography in the Superior Institute of Art of the Colon Theatre, in Buenos Aires.
In 2005 new exhibitions were performed in Barcelona. It is worth mentioned “Classicism and Modernity”, in Art Bubble-Rubi Gallery.
In 2006 his art work “Meninas under metamorposis” was published by the Prado National Museum as part of the activities related with Picasso's year.
As a mural artist, he performed many jobs, between them, the mosaic mural “The Annunciation” for the Villa Elisa Church.


Martín La Spina is a teacher of mural art in the Fine Art College, University of La Plata, from 1996.
In the field of Artistic Work for children, he illustrated many books for different Publishing Houses in Argentina. He made illustrations for the ophidian Buenos Aires Guide (2000) and with his painting “He will cover you with His shadow” was the official Christmas Stamp for the Argentinian Mail.
As a stained-glass artist he was a member of the course "New Applicated Techniques for the contemporary glass", with a scholar-ship from the Catalunya Government. At the moment he is a teacher for the Cathedral Superior Institute of Stained Glass Window, in La Plata, that gives a technical degree.
He is a member of the Art in glass group Asterisco Atelier, with this group he is working since 2004 in the great ceiling window “St George and the Dragon”.

Il pittore Argentino Martin La Spina è nato nella città di La Plata, Argentina.
Si è laureato come Professore e Bachelor of Fine Arts (orientamento pittura) presso il Fine Art College (Università Nazionale di La Plata) con lode per le sue qualifiche elevate (diploma JV Gonzlez).
Ha partecipato a numerose mostre, singole o collettive. È stato anche invitato in modo speciale, in Pittura, Disegno e Arte nei Saloni di Vetro dall'anno 1989 ad oggi.
Ha ricevuto molti premi per il suo lavoro artistico.
Dal 1990 realizza le proprie mostre personali.
Nel 2002 è stato nella città di Barcellona, in Spagna, dove ha esposto i suoi dipinti, tra le tante altre gallerie possiamo citare la Rainbow Gallery, a Sitges.
Nel 2003 ha studiato scenografia all'Istituto Superiore d'Arte del Teatro Colon, a Buenos Aires.
Nel 2005 sono state eseguite nuove mostre a Barcellona. Degno di nota Classicismo e Modernità, in Art Bubble-Rubi Gallery.

Nel 2006 la sua opera Meninas under metamorphosis è stata pubblicata dal Museo Nazionale del Prado nell'ambito delle attività legate all'anno di Picasso.
Come artista murale, ha eseguito molti lavori, tra cui il murale in mosaico L'Annunciazione per la Chiesa di Villa Elisa.
Dal 2000 ad oggi ha partecipato come artista murale ghest alle Giornate pubbliche dell'arte organizzate dal Movimento Nazionale dei Muralisti (Mar del Plata 2000-2002, Quilmes 2004, Carlos Paz 2004-2006).
Dal 1996 è insegnante di arte murale presso il Fine Art College, Università di La Plata. Nel campo del lavoro artistico per l'infanzia, ha illustrato molti libri per diverse case editrici in Argentina. Ha realizzato illustrazioni per l'ophidian Buenos Aires Guide (2000) e con il suo dipinto ti coprirà con la sua ombra è stato il francobollo natalizio ufficiale per la posta argentina.
Come artista del vetro colorato è stato membro del corso Nuove Tecniche Applicate per il Vetro Contemporaneo, con una borsa di studio del Governo Catalunya.
Attualmente è docente presso l'Istituto Superiore di Vetrate del Duomo.
È membro del gruppo d'Arte in vetro Asterisco Atelier, con questo gruppo lavora dal 2004 nella grande vetrata del soffitto San Giorgio ed il drago.
