Born in 1962, Mark Newman is an American sculptor who has a career of 19 years behind, if we calculate only his professional activities. Newman has a remarkable style expressed through art, through his vivid looking sculptures that appear to be freakishly alive! He spends a lot of time in his studio where he molds some of the best sculptures the modern world has seen. Newman believes in practice, drawing, observing forms and people and getting inspired by other artists.
Whatever he decides to create, impresses either by detail, the lively look or even by grotesque or disturbing appearances. The shake reality, pushing us into different dimensions of art. "I'm a traditional figurative sculptor. I primarily work commercially for a number of companies sculpting master prototypes for production. Companies like Lenox Inc., Bowen Designs Inc., Side Show collectibles, among others. I also do bronze sculpture for privet parties such as 1/4 to 1/3rd scale sports figures for Stanford Universities sports department through John Arriaga. Bronze fireplace facades for George Lucas and Skywalker ranch. Also my own 'Fine Art' bronze sculpture when I find the time".
