Various types of visual arts developed in the geographical area now known as Mexico.

The development of these arts roughly follows the history of Mexico, divided into the pre hispanic Mesoamerican era, the colonial period, with the period after Mexican War of Independence, the development Mexican national identity through art in the nineteenth century, and the florescence of modern Mexican art after the Mexican Revolution (1910-1920).

David Riedel, 1956 | Still life painter

David Riedel was born in Indiana and lived there until moving to Tempe, Arizona to study art.

He fell in love with the Southwest, graduating from Northern Arizona University in 1982 with a BFA in printmaking.

David still lives in the Southwest near Taos, New Mexico with his wife and daughter.

She was introduced to her masters in the Prado: Velazquez🎨, Goya🎨 and Frans Hal🎨s and became deeply affected by art. She attended drawing and painting lessons and had her first exhibition at the age of 17 in Madrid.

Igor Morski is a Polish🎨 graphic designer, illustrator and set designer. Presently, he focuses on mixed media graphic art, based manly on photo manipulation, drawing, recently also 3D.

Igor Morski graduated with honors from the Interior Architecture and Industrial Design Faculty at the State Higher School of Fine Art in Poznań (now the University of Arts).

Ferdinand Max Bredt | Orientalist painter

Ferdinand Max Bredt (1860-1921) is regarded as one of Germany's foremost Orientalist painters of the 19th century.

Like many of his compatriots who were interested in the world of the Orient, he travelled extensively in Greece, Turkey and Tunisia, recording his journeys on both paper and canvas.

His works often depict the everyday life in the harem and its inhabitants - luxuriant scenes graced by richly attired odalisques.

Asit Kumar Patnaik, Indian painter, was born in Orissa. A National Scholar and MFA topper from BHU, he has received several provincial and national awards, the latest being a grand felicitation from the Government College of Art and Crafts, his alma mater in Khallikote, Orissa.

A semi-realistic figurative painter, Patnaik has enjoyed much critical acclaim and popular appreciation over the past few years.

David Park | Figurative Expressionist painter

American painter David Park (1911-1960) was a pioneer of the Bay Area Figurative School of painting during the 1950s.

David Park was part of the post-World War II alumnae of the San Francisco Art Institute which was called the California School of Fine Arts at the time.
