Après des études aux Beaux-arts d'Angers, il intègre le fameux atelier Vocreschensky, et y perfectionne son dessin, la composition, et l'utilisation de la matière. Il y apprend aussi à maitriser les techniques de la peinture à l'huile et des glacis dans le respect des traditions. Il réalise sa première exposition personnelle en 1980 à Angers, il a 23 ans, travaillant la journée dans une entreprise, il doit alors peindre la nuit. Il se consacrera exclusivement à la peinture à partir de 1986. 

Federico Andreotti | Genre painter

Federico Andreotti, Italian painter*, was born in Florence and received his artistic training at the Academy in Florence. There he studied with Enrico Pollastrini (1817-1876), the President of the Academy, and Angiolo Tricca (1817-1884).
His academic studies prepared him well for his chosen subject matter: historical figurative works set in the 16th and 17th centuries.
The late 19th century saw a resurgence of interest in this period of elegance and many artists, including Toudouze and Moreau, in France, Marcus Stone, in England and Madrazo, in Spain, also looked to satisfy the growing need for these works.
