Alexander Bolotov, 1981 | Unforgettable Paris


Ukrainian painter Александр Болотов was born in Donetsk. In 2002 he graduated from the Donetsk Art School, Department of Painting.
For several years he worked in publishing houses on book illustrations. He taught at the children's art school. In 2008, he left the genre of illustration and devoted himself entirely to painting.
Initially, the only favorite style was realism in depicting types of nature: forest, sea landscapes, because His favorite artists were the leading figures of the Russian landscape school - Ivan Shishkin🎨 and Ivan Aivazovsky🎨.


But constantly carefully studying contemporary art, Alexander mastered and loved impressionism in its various manifestations.
Black and white gamma interspersed with bright colors, often red, became Alexander's corporate style.
The theme of rain in the city is the most beloved topic of the audience in his work.
In 2013, the artist held a solo exhibition "Grayscale" in Kovel, where works in the author's style were presented.
In 2014, Alexander came with his family to the Urals. Here, in the Bashkir village of Bolsheustikinsky, he worked for a year in the rural palace of culture. But then he returned to free creativity. Visited more than ten cities of the Urals.
He wrote dozens of types of Chelyabinsk, Yekaterinburg and Ufa. Also with great inspiration, Alexander painted village landscapes and views of the pure Ural nature with forests, rocks and rivers.
In 2018, a personal exhibition opened in Khartsyzsk, here are presented all the genres in which the master works: landscape, portrait and still life, as well as paintings in the style of surrealism.
