Tomek Setowski, 1961: "Mind is a characteristic factory of dreams"..

Polish painter Tomek Sętowski was born in Czestochowa, where he is still residing and where his main gallery called Museum of imagination is located.
Extraordinary sensitivity that characterized him as a little boy could be seen as soon as he was only three years old when his first painting was created.
Had been developing his painting techniques for years, taking giant steps from local galleries to the top-rank exhibitions salons, and, at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Częstochowa Pedagogical University he gained knowledge of the history of art.

The learning process took many years.. Our hero was engaged in a brave fight with the professors of the local university and, eventually, he swallowed his pride and collected his master’s diploma.
In 1995 his paintings were included in a road show exhibition called "Polish Surrealists" which presented the best artists taking their ideas from this surrealism trend.
Thanks to this event, Tomek Sętowski was acclaimed one of the most original and gifted painters, who managed to create his own unique and recognizable style.
His art aroused interest of the best Polish galleries, as well as foreign international art experts - exhibitions in France, Germany and Switzerland were very successful.

"Journeys into the land of fantasy are a search of treasures which I would like to share.
Mind is a characteristic factory of dreams opened for the time of creation.
Making up monumental compositions is an attempt to exist in the world of imagination, away from the daily life.
The choice I have made in my life seems appropriate to me - painting comes easy to me, but it is difficult for me to part with a painting".

"Artistic journeys which I have made in my life have been caused by my passion for painting.
Apart from the fact that I paint I am also interested in art in a broad sense.
These interests have led me to the track of my own style which I am slowly becoming a slave of ...
Creating my recent works I have had so much time as to become accustomed to the thought that these paintings will be lost for the time of exhibitions and, ultimately, they will become parts of different collections.
But such is a painting’s lot, to travel and change its owners" - Tomasz Sętowski.
