Ruane Manning, 1939 | Scenery painter

Ruane Manning was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA.

His love for art brought him to study at the Art Institute of Philadelphia which led him to become a Commercial Illustrator.

While doing such, he witnessed the development of the Flyers Logo as well as the first Barbie Doll, developed by the Mel Richman Studios.

By the age of 20, he became a published artist with his prints being sold world wide...

He has done an exclusive plate series for the Franklin Mint, Danbury Mint and the Hamilton mint.

He was the creator of Stoney Maloneys (r) and had the honor of making them for celebrities such as Pres. Nixon, Pres. Carter, Pres. Reagan and even Pres. Ford, whom he met personally.

Ruane's sculptures are in the Ford museum, Ronald Reagan Museum and Charles Schultz Museum (Peanuts cartoon series). He has made them for Liberace, Gene Simmons, Tom Jones, The Flyers and The Phillies.

Ruane resides on a beautiful farm in Mays Landing, NJ surrounded by farm animals, wildlife and nature which are a constant inspiration to him.

He travels 2 hours to his studio in Lambertville simply because of his love for the town, it's people and the beautiful scenery.
