François Pagé was born in Tours where he currently lives.

He defines himself as a conceptual painter.

Pagé graduated with a degree in History of Art and finished a National Postgraduate Degree in Expression in Visual Arts at l'École de Beaux Arts de Tours.

He particularly admires the work of Gerhard Richter, a painter from former East Germany who was one of the first artists to examine society in his artwork.

Laureato in Storia dell'Arte e titolare del Diploma Nazionale Superiore di Espressione Plastica conseguito presso la Scuola di Belle Arti di Tours, François Pagé apprezza particolarmente le opere di Gerhard Richter, pittore dell'ex Germania dell'Est, uno dei primi a guardare nella società attraverso il suo lavoro.

Per lui, l'arte è una forma di espressione che deve portare ad un'emozione ed alla messa in discussione sia del pubblico che del creatore.

Prima di dedicarsi all'arte, Pagé ha lavorato nel cinema.

Di conseguenza, crea opere d'arte come se stesse organizzando una messa in scena.

Si riferisce a se stesso come un regista, producendo un film e lasciando la spontaneità fuori dal processo.
