Alfonso Gatto (1909-1976) è stato uno dei più importanti poeti ed intellettuali Italiani del Novecento, strettamente legato alla corrente dell'Ermetismo.

Personalità dalla straripante vitalità, si distinse non solo nella lirica, ma anche come giornalista, scrittore per bambini, critico d'arte, pittore ed attore.

Alfonso Gatto (1909-1976) was one of the most prominent Italian poets, writers, and painters of the 20th century, widely celebrated as a leading figure of the Italian Hermeticism movement.

Born in Salerno, his extensive literary career blended deep emotional lyricism with an active political and cultural life.
