Nato ad Warrington, Cheshire, nel nord dell'Inghilterra, Rob Hefferan è un artista appartiene alla corrente del realismo figurativo contemporaneo, uno stile che nella precisione del disegno e del dettaglio e con la sapiente costruzione cromatica presenta delle tele che quasi si confondono con lo scatto fotografico.

Ha iniziato a disegnare e dipingere quando era soltanto un piccolo bambino. Durante le vacanze in famiglia, amava dipingere all’aria aperta. La sua insegnante d’arte aveva riconosciuto che i suoi disegni infantili di dinosauri erano veramente qualcosa di speciale. Durante la scuola superiore e l’università, ha vinto molti concorsi d’arte.

Questo pittore è chiaramente influenzato dai maestri del movimento preraffaellita, un vero spirito libero, fin dall’inizio. Ha lavorato come illustratore e designer, aggiudicandosi una serie di importanti contratti, anche cercando il modo di catturare toni della pelle, movimento e tessuto.
