Giuseppe Tirelli, 1957 | Figurative sculptor


Giuseppe Tirelli was born in Tanzania and now lives and works in Piacenza, where he attended the Art Institute "Gazzola" in the late '80s.
He began his personal artistic journey by fusing together classical sculpture with a contemporary, futuristic and cibernetic atmosphere. The great art critic Edward Lucie-Smith has placed Tirelli amongst the artists of "Neofigurative Italian sculpture".








Tirelli collaborates with major galleries and in recent years his work is appreciated not only in Italy but also internationally: many of his works have been bought by collectors who live in India, Brazil, USA, Russia and Australia.
Two of his works have been purchased respectively by the Museum of Modern Art Gallery Ricci Oddi Piacenza and by the Museum Mim in the Castle of San Pietro in Cerro.














Giuseppe Tirelli è nato in Tanzania nel 1957 ,vive e lavora a Piacenza dove ha frequentato l’Istituto d'arte “Gazzola” alla fine degli anni ’80. L'artista inizia il suo percorso attraverso una ricerca molto personale fondendo i caratteri della scultura classica con atmosfere contemporanee futuribili e cibernetiche.
Il grande critico d'arte Edward Lucie-Smith ha collocato tirelli tra gli artisti della “scultura Neofigurativa italiana”. Tirelli collabora con importanti gallerie e negli ultimi anni il suo lavoro è apprezzato anche all’estero: molte sue opere sono state acquistate da collezionisti che vivono in India, Brasile, Stati Uniti, Russia, Australia e in tutta Europa.
