Damian Tirado, 1960: "Envie de chic?"

Damian Tirado is a Venezuelan painter and sculptor, currently living in France.

Passionate about drawing and painting, he entered the School of Fine arts Cristobal de Rojas in Caracas.

He began his career as a designer and make up artist in the world of fashion and theatre, and as an illustrator for several big brands, collaboration among others with fashion designer Guy Melliet.

Even if he was only 24 years old, the Academy of fashion design Las Mercedes and Brivil proposed him a position as a fashion design teacher, where he teached during 12 Years.

In 1999 he left in a journey throughout Europe, before settling his atelier-home in the Jurasic Bresse, in order to consacrete his time to the teaching of plastic arts and creation.

His talent led him to expose all around the world, where he obtained several prizes such as the 2nd prize of the European Institute of Contemporary Arts in 2014, the Grand Prize of Barbizon "Academy Jacques Boitiat" in 2013 and the honorable prize Edouard Vuillard 2012.

In 2012, the artist became part of the circle of European artists and his works are presented at the Municipal Museum of Louhans.

Damian Tirado è uno pittore e scultore Venezuelano, con sede in Francia.

Per Tirando, il colore non ha scopi descrittivi ma è una modalità di espressione a sé stante.

Ispirato all'arte latina ed ai pittori classici europei come Matisse, Toulouse-Lautrec e Renoir, uno dei suoi soggetti preferiti è la figura di "donna" e la sua eleganza.

I suoi dipinti spaziando da paesaggi urbani figurativi a ritratti di carboncino minimalisti.

Appassionato di disegno e pittura, si iscrisse alla Scuola di Belle Arti Cristobal de Rojas di Caracas.

Iniziò la sua carriera come scenografo e truccatore per il mondo del teatro e della moda, e come illustratore per diversi grandi marchi, collaborando tra gli altri con lo stilista Guy Melliet.

A soli 24 anni, l'Accademia di Design di Moda Las Mercédès e Brivil gli offrì un posto come insegnante di fashion design, dove insegnò per 12 anni.

Nel 1999, volò in Europa, prima di aprire il suo studio nella regione della Bresse-Jura, per dedicarsi all'insegnamento delle arti visive e della creazione.
