Raphael [1483-1520] was an Italian painter and architect of the High Renaissance, celebrated for the perfection and grace of his paintings and drawings. Together with Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci, he forms the traditional trinity of great masters of that period. He was born Raffaello Santi or Raffaello Sanzio in Urbino on April 6, 1483, and received his early training in art from his father, the painter Giovanni Santi. According to many art historians, he also studied with Timoteo Viti at Urbino, executing under his influence a number of works of miniaturelike delicacy and poetic atmosphere, including Apollo and Marsyas Louvre, Paris and The Knight's Dream 1501, National Gallery, London. In 1499 he went to Perugia, in Umbria, and became a student and assistant of the painter Perugino.

Mariana Palova is a young Mexican painter. She finds within the positive a living and colorful metamorphosis- the essence of her own cosmogony. Playing with the influence of her experiences and her transformations, Mariana surrounds herself with an aura showing special devotion to the nature elements, analogies, the substitution, human monsters and the astrologic environment.
Despite her young age and relative inexperience, her work has slipped quickly into important art/social circles. Equally rejected and loved, Mariana's sensitive artwork, evokes overflowing passion and a philosophy of life based on the beauty of human metamorphosis and the allure of imagination, eschewing all that is sick and grotesque in the world.

Lyrical, haunting, yet poignant at the same time, Eric Fortune’s paintings make lasting impressions. These are characters who are neither out of place in the world, nor at home in it, they are characters wrapped in their own worlds. The emotionally complex metaphors Fortune paints are richly evocative. His imagery is quiet yet dynamic, and seasoned with a touch of surrealism that takes us to captivating places, beyond our everyday experience but filled with truth. Packed with emotional nuances he creates soft yet riveting lighting and atmosphere. With uncompromising patience and discipline he slowly builds up his luminous characters and worlds until they radiate life.
