From childhood Josephine has had a passion for light and colour, fantasy and visual storytelling. The life of a painter was clearly her destiny! Enchanting and detailed images flow freely from her imagination in an endless cascade of ideas.
Her first employment after leaving Art College was at Poole Pottery, where she painted the dynamic and boldly coloured designs of the now famous Delphis ware - very collectable and realising high prices at specialist auctions. In addition to her main love of painting, she directs her creative energies into pottery figures, sculpture and reproduction stained glass panels.
She has even customised items of clothing.

Josephine Wall's paintings are mainly influenced and inspired by Arthur Rackham, with lesser influences from surrealist artists such as Magritte* and Dalí*, and the romanticism of the pre-Raphaelites. A number of her works were exhibited in Tehran and Tokyo during 1974 and her first solo exhibition took place the following year in Swindon.

Her originals and limited edition prints by are often sold through Courtenay's Fine Art and Courtyard of Romance.
In addition to a range of Limited Edition Prints, Josephine Wall continues to work with her exclusive licensing agents Art Impressions in California who began licensing her work around the world in 1996.
They are responsible for finding the contacts and setting up licensing deals. Apparently there is a rush to see who will get new images as they appear!

Pop singer Britney Spears has used a number of Josephine's images on her website.
In 2008, Sunbeams Initiatives, Inc., Jacksonville, Florida was chosen as Josephine's Official International Marketing Group and "One Stop Shop" source for all of her art. This includes retail and wholesale sales of original paintings, prints, games, greeting cards, books and other quality products which carry her name.
Alcuni dei suoi lavori vengono esposti a Londra, nella prestigiosa rassegna chiamata Art of the Imagination.
