Wojciech Weiss (1875-1950) | Art Nouveau painter

Wojciech Weiss was an Polish painter🎨, draughtsman and graphic artist, a student, professor and Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, representative of the Expressionist Young Poland art movement and of the Colouristic tendencies of the 1920s and 1930s.

Weiss was born in Bukovina to a Polish family in exile of Stanisław Weiss and Maria Kopaczyńska. He gave up music training to study art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków under Leon Wyczółkowski.

Raphael | Angel, 1501-1501

"The Baronci Altarpiece" was a painting by the Italian High Renaissance artist, Raphael.

His first recorded commission, it was made for Andrea Baronci's chapel in the church of Sant'Agostino in Città di Castello, near Urbino.

The altarpiece was seriously damaged during an earthquake in 1789, and since 1849 fragments of the original painting have been part of different collections.

Irene Klestova (1908-1989) | Still life painter

Russian-French painter Irène Klestova/ Ирина Клестова was born in Saratov-Russia, then the family of the artist moved to Moscow. Here, in the studio of the famous landscape painter Theodore Rerberg, Irene began his artistic education.

In 1925 he entered the Academy of Arts in Rome. In the same period, Irina met her future husband, painter Lev Tchistovsky.

Feng Chiang-Jiang 冯长江, 1943

Feng Chiang-Jiang interested in painting since his youth, he taught himself the art. After initially practicing Western painting and Chinese ink-and-wash painting, he specialized in the traditional meticulous brushwork painting with help and inspiration from the famous art historian and painter Pan Xie-zi.

Pan Xie-zi also passed on his knowledge of ancient frescoes replication to Feng, which Feng was able to apply to various temples, tombs and sites such as Yung li Palace and Qing-long Temple. The experience has benefited his artistic development and style maturation.

Almeida Júnior (1850-1899) | Genre painter

José Ferraz de Almeida Júnior was a major Brazilian painter🎨 whose works became a source of inspiration for subsequent modernists. As a painter, he defied the popular traditions of his contemporaries and carved a new niche for himself.

At a time when his fellow painters were achieving fame by painting mythological and historical subjects, he decided to focus on reality and portray the beauty of rural life. The subjects he chose to paint were an unchartered territory, but his skill ensured that the gamble paid off.

Jorge Marin, 1963 | Figurative sculptor

Jorge Marín is a Mexican sculptor and painter. He has been an active figure in the contemporary art world for the last 25 years. He began to sculpt ceramic in the early 1980s.

Bronze has been his preferred material for the last ten years.

His work often depicts horses, centaurs, garudas, children, madonna's, acrobats, along with elements such as spheres, masks, arrows, boats and scales.

These concepts are consistent with recurring themes such as reflection and balance.

Japanese artist🎨 Nagayama Yuka 永山裕子 is a leading watercolorist and teacher known for her easy-to-understand instructional style.

Her paintings are exhibited and sold in galleries across Japan, the United States, and France, and she is featured regularly in Watercolor Magazine.

Nagayama Yuka was born in Tokyo.
