Catlin Harrison ~ Abstract artist

A Londoner by birth and inclination, the city provides for me a fresh daily helping of eclectic people to watch and wonder about.
'I'm endlessly fascinated with the human form, especially meta-figures like ghosts or dolls or archetypes. Sometimes I think my work stems from a collectors' sensibility - particularly those Victorian do-gooders who pinned butterflies or measured skulls. Each piece of work is an independent specimen, a set of examples of a particular type.
Presence, oddity, beauty and humour are important elements in all my work, as is colour and aesthetics'.

Cecilia Paredes, 1950 ~ Body painter

Cecilia Paredes was born in Lima, Peru and currently lives and works between Philadelphia, PA US and Lima, Peru. Cecilia builds objects mainly using discarded natural elements and with her work, re creates another language. She also does performances using make up, body painting or any other resource to create her anthropomorphic images, transforming herself into animals, plants or landscapes. These acts are registered on photography, creating her photoperformances.
She studied at the Catholic University Art School in Lima, at the Cambridge Arts and Crafts School in England and at the Scuola del Nudo in Rome, Italy. Cecilia is a Rockefeller Fellow since 1998.

Daniel Ridgway Knight | Genre painter

Daniel Ridgway Knight’s (1839-1924) works represent so many aspects of Nineteenth Century painting, including history, genre, landscape, portrait and floral themes.

In each work, all that is aesthetic is recorded with fine detail and skill.

In order to faithfully record the scenery, night studied the different phases of the day and their effects on the environment.

Knight built a glass studio outside of his home, enabling him to paint outdoors, even in the dead of winter.

Paul Gustave Fischer | Flower market

Paul Gustav Fischer (1860-1934) was a Danish painter.

Paul Fischer belongs to the fourth generation of Fischers to live in Denmark. This Jewish family originally came from Poland.

Fischer was a popular artist in his day for his family scenes, female figures and paintings of city scenes in the harbor and streets of Copenhagen, which he transformed into the 'Paris of the North' in his work.

Peter Yesis is a native of New Jersey and works from his home in Searsport, Maine. He renders paintings in a softened, realistic style that leaves space for thought and reflection. Whether he is painting a still-life, a figurative or a landscape, his goal is to draw the viewer into the work and to share his vision of the underlying beauty of everyday life.
Peter's paintings have been purchased by artists and collectors across the world and have been juried into exhibitions by the International Guild of Realism, Salon International, Oil Painters of America, American Plains Artists and C.M Russell Auction. He is presently represented by The Gallery at Somes Sound in Somesville, Maine and Camden Falls Gallery in Camden, Maine. Peter Graham Roi, 1959 | Modern Colourist painter

Peter Graham Roi has earned a reputation as one of Britain's most gifted and distinctive Modern Colourists.

Still life occupies an important place in Peter Graham’s output, affording an opportunity to explore colour in a reflective manner.

"In the peace and quiet of my studio", he wrote in a recent article for ‘The Artist’, "I can focus on the particular characteristics of a pigment, trying to get to the truth of what colour actually is and understanding more about the special relationships between specific colours like red, green or yellow. Still Life painting is the perfect vehicle for this type of expression".

Emilio Longoni | Divisionist painter

Emilio Longoni (1859-1932) was an Italian painter, known for working in the Neo-Impressionism style.

He was born in Barlassina on July 9, 1859, fourth of twelve children, from Garibaldi’s volunteer and horseshoer Matteo Longoni and from tailor Luigia Meroni.

Since he was a child he felt a great passion for painting.

After he finished elementary school he was sent to Milan to work as a boy.

From 1875-1878 he attended the Brera Academy where he received many awards.

Henry Herbert La Thangue | Genre painter

British painter🎨 Henry Herbert La Thangue (1859-1929) was noted for his strong convictions and forceful personality.

In 1886, having completed his studies in Paris, he was the instigator of an abortive movement to reform the Royal Academy.
Though he did not attend the meetings held by his contemporaries which led to the foundation of the New English Art Club (NEAC), La Thangue was arguably its most controversial exhibitor.

Bruno Vallino, 1949 | Plein Air painter

Italian painter Bruno Vallino was born in Locana Canavese. He lives and works in San Germano Chisone, (TO) Italy.

He lost his father while still a child and his family were compelled lo move to Pinerolo (Piedmont).

Here Bruno attendees the local boarding school where he remained for nine years.

- "I was in third year - he says - when the painter Beretta did Vigone was called on to restore the Chapel.

His art enchanted me and I spent all my spare lime watching him and dreaming. How I would like to he like that painter, I thought".

Vangelis Rinas /Βαγγέλης Ρήνας, 1966

Vangelis Rinas is a Greek painter🎨 and sculptor🎨 having his roots in the Northeastern Aegean Sea.

He was born in Samos island, but grew up in Ikaria island. His first tutor in painting was professor Vassilis Korkovelos. Studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts under Professors Dimosthenis Kokkinides (painting) and Thanassis Exarchopoulos (engravinγ).
