Hartwig Kopp-Delaney | Symbolist / Mystical Digital painter

Hartwig Kopp-Delaney is a German mystical digital artist and photographer that expresses duality and transduality - oneness - love and hate - the split and separated mind trough art. He tries to show a possible way out of the inner conflict and stress.

The artist creates pictures about the path, the inner journey, the experiences, the sufferings, the tragic and the funny illusions that he had. And probably the greatest adventure to be explored is the journey to the source. Chie Yoshii | Surrealist /Visionary painter

Japanese by birth, Chie Yoshii moved to the US, where she completed BFA at Massachusetts College of Art in 2000 and studied with Adrian Gottlieb from 2002-2008.

Much of her work is inspired by the analogy between mythological tales and the human psychology.

She currently lives and works in Los Angeles.

Stephen Cefalo is an American artist in the traditions of Symbolism and the Baroque.

He was born in the hometown of Albrecht Durer (Nurnberg, Germany) on the birthday of his heroes, Winslow Homer, Charles Le Brun and Franz Von Stuck, and felt a calling from early childhood to become a painter.

Stephen and his two sisters were raised in Newburgh, Indiana by a single mother who worked full-time at a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant.

His aunt Marilyn gave him oil painting lessons at twelve, and his mother bought him books on figure drawing and supplies when she found them.

Olga and Sergey Kamennoy (KAMU) | The Muses

KAMU - a creative union of two artists, Olga and Sergey working under a pseudonym. Artists live in France.

Luigi Loir | Paris of Belle Époque

Luigi Aloys-François-Joseph Loir, dit Luigi Loir was born December 22, 1845 in Goritz, Austria and he died February 9, 1916 in Paris.

Luigi’s parents were of French origins, but his family lived in Austria as employees of the French royal family, the Bourbons - his father was a valet while his mother was a governess.

In his catalogue raisonnée on Luigi Loir, Noé Willer explains how "since the French Revolution, Gorritz (which was known as ‘the Austrian Nice’) was a refuge for royalists and particularly the Bourbon branch of the family".

The earliest years of Luigi’s life, then, were spent in the Gorritz castle, but shortly after his birth, the Loir family relocated, along with the Bourbon family, to the Duchy of Parma, around 1847.

Georgi Petrov was born in Dobrich, Bulgaria. He lives and works in the capital of Bulgaria - Sofia. An interest in art has started since 1993. During the years, he was working mostly contemporary landscapes and still-life. He follows the examples of impressionism, expressionism, fauvism and abstract expressionism.

He is a self-taught artist. During his very early artistic period he studied techniques as visiting the ateliers of several well established Bulgarian artists. Georgi Petrov believes in changing the way one sees the landscape by using the power and vitality of colour and movement.

Hans Hassenteufel | Figurative painter

The German painter Hans Hassenteufel (1887-1943) was born in 1887 in Hamburg and studied with Rudolf Zeller in Hamburg, at the Painting School Walter Thor in Munich and at the Munich Academy under Peter Halm and Franz von Stuck.

His favorite subjects were portraits, figures, landscapes and still lives.

Hassenteufel died in 1943 in Munich.

Asti is known for his beautiful woman painted onto silks with Italian undertones.

David Agenjo, 1977 | Conceptual painter

Spanish-born artist David Agenjo is a self-taught artist living and working in London. After a brief career as a graphic designer, he now devotes himself entirely to painting. He has been exhibited in New York, London, Dublin and Madrid.

Unlike a lot of his contemporaries, he did not formally study fine art and has not become embroiled in an obsession with a conceptual avant-garde. Instead he is self-taught and self-supporting with his painting, a way of life he has been developing professionally for over eight years now.

William Henry Barribal | Vintage Art Déco painter

William Henry Barribal (1874-1952) was a London artist who began his career as a lithographer before going on to study at the Académie Julian in Paris.

By the turn of the 20th century, Barribal had become an accomplished painter and designer. He created a series of images that were used on First World War recruitment posters in Great Britain.

During the 1920s and 1930s he created a range of posters for the Schweppes advertising campaign and in 1921 he was contracted to work for Waddingtons, producing work that was used for posters and later a series of playing cards, these works being keenly sought after today.

His bold Art Déco posters designed in 1920s and 1930s for the London and North Eastern Railway are also well known.

Chinese-born Canadian painter Xiao Song Jiang (姜小松) was born in 1955, in Wuhan, China. In 1978 he studied fine arts at the China Academy of Art, formerly the Zhejiang Art Academy, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 1982, then began lecturing watercolor at the City of Wuhan Construction College. Four years after, Song was selected to further develop his skill at the provincial Hubei Art Academy. During his time there, he accumulated years of experience, painting, sketching, and working for a refined grasp of color and technique.

Sir John Lavery R.A. | The Glasgow School of Art

One of Ireland’s leading society portraits painters of the last century, Belfast-born Sir John Lavery R.A. (1856-1941)* was orphaned as a child and sent to school in Scotland, later attending the Glasgow School of Art. Following a commission to paint Queen Victoria’s visit to the Glasgow International Exhibition in 1888, he then moved to London as a highly successful society painter. Following the beginnings of the War of Independence, he and his wife became close friends of the Irish delegates to the Treaty talks in London, entertaining Michael Collins and his co-signatories during 1921.

Mathurin Janssaud | Genre painter

Mathurin Janssaud (1857-1940) was born in Manosque, Provence. Like many other painters, he lived and painted in Paris. But the reputation of Concarneau draws and before the First World War, he dropped his native Provence for changing skies of Brittany, which became his only source of inspiration. A Concarneau, it is the local color they are looking for.

Maja Wronska, 1989 | Watercolor Cityscapes painter

Polish watercolor artist Maja Wronska is an architect and freelance illustrator. Graduate of Warsaw University of Technology, Architecture faculty. Wronska continues to paint explosively colorful depictions of European architecture, most recently in Poznań, Poland.
She first renders each piece as a detailed drawing and then adds layers of watercolor, an unpredictable medium that can be difficult to control, making her paintings all the more incredible.

Kristof Ludwin /Krzysztof Ludwin was born in Krakow. In the years between 1981-1987 he studied at the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Technology in Krakow and from 1987-1988 at the Faculty of Industrial Design at the Academy of Fine Arts.

For 11 years he lectured at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Technology in Krakow in the Department of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture.

Constantin Kluge | Parisian street scenes

Constantin Kluge /Константин Константинович Клуге (1912-2003) was an French award winning painter originally from Russia. Raised mostly in Manchuria and Beijing, Kluge eventually settled in Paris and became a French citizen.

He is known for his French landscapes and romantic scenes of Paris.

Constantin Kluge was born on January 29, 1912 in Riga, then a large industrial port city in the Russian Empire. Kluge was born into a family of means and some status.

His paternal grandfather had spent years in France studying the cultivation of vines and wine making. Returning to Russia he developed a successful winery. Kluge's father, also Constantin, was a member of the Russian Army General Staff and a White Army sympathizer.

Alfred Mira | Cityscape painter

Italian-born American painter Alfred S. Mira (1900-1980) and his realistic, gritty, intimate Greenwich Village street scenes should be better known. Born in 1900 in Sicily, Italy to a carpenter father, he left school and began working for an interior decorator, dreaming of going to art school but without the 50 cents a day it cost to attend.

He did make a career out of painting though; he listed his address as East 8th Street and his occupation as painter in the 1940 census. And he sold his work at the Washington Square outdoor art exhibit, a heralded event decades ago.
