Kazuhiko Tanaka 田中一彦 was born in Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture.

1965 - Graduated from Kofu First High School.

1971 - B.F.A., Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music with a major in Architectural Design.

1976 - First-Class Architect license acquired.

1982 - Open his own architectural design office in Tokyo.

1991 - Open a limited company, Zakurosha in Tokyo.

For more than forty years, he has been working as an architect in Tokyo.

Monet: My garden is my most beautiful masterpiece!

Giovanni Boldini | The French Cityscapes

La Buona Ventura - The Fortune Teller, è un dipinto ad olio su tela dove Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio 1571-1610 sfoggia la propria conoscenza della pittura di genere, premessa sulla quale in seguito Caravaggio costruirà una vera e propria rivoluzione che investe il significato stesso del 'fare pittura'.

Il quadro rappresenta una zingara che, mentre legge la mano ad un giovane soldato, gli sfila abilmente l’anello. Secondo un biografo, Caravaggio avrebbe invitato a posare per il quadro una zingara che passava per caso per strada.

Il dipinto è una precoce espressione dell’immaginario della zingara dedita al furto ed anche ammaliatrice, capace di incantare ed ingannare.

When he had finished the first version in white marble for the school, Ernest Barrias (1841-1905) designed a second statue in polychrome, for the ceremonial staircase of the Conservatoire des Arts et Métiers, in Paris.

Pierre-Auguste Renoir | La Promenade / La passeggiata, 1870

La Promenade is an oil on canvas, early Impressionist painting by the French artist Pierre-Auguste Renoir, created in 1870.

The work depicts a young couple on an excursion outside of the city, walking on a path through a woodland.

Influenced by the rococo revival style during the Second Empire, Renoir's La Promenade reflects the older style and themes of eighteenth-century artists like Jean-Honoré Fragonard and Jean-Antoine Watteau.

The work also shows the influence of Claude Monet* on Renoir's new approach to painting.

Alex Colville | Magic Realist painter

David Alexander Colville, painter (born 24 Aug 1920 in Toronto, Ontario died 16 July 2013 in Wolfville, Nova Scotia). Alex Colville moved with his family to Amherst, NS, in 1929 and studied at Mount Allison (1938-42).

On graduating he joined the army and in 1944 was sent to Europe as a war artist. He returned to Canada late in 1945 and worked in Ottawa on paintings based on his European sketches and watercolours until his demobilization in 1946.

Alois Arnegger is an Austrian painter, well known for his Austrian and Italian scene paintings.

Alois Arnegger was born in Vienna in 1879.

In Vienna, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts under the guidance of the artists Robert Russ and August Eisenmenger, who introduced him to the pre-impressionist technique.

In 1920, Arnegger traveled to Italy and was enchanted by the picturesque coastal views of the Mediterranean, which became a source of inspiration for many of his creations.

Arts and Crafts movement, English aesthetic movement of the second half of the 19th century that represented the beginning of a new appreciation of the decorative arts throughout Europe.

By 1860 a vocal minority had become profoundly disturbed by the level to which style, craftsmanship, and public taste had sunk in the wake of the Industrial Revolution and its mass-produced and banal decorative arts.

Among them was the English reformer, poet, and designer William Morris, who, in 1861, founded a firm of interior decorators and manufacturers - Morris, Marshall, Faulkner, and Company (after 1875, Morris and Company) - dedicated to recapturing the spirit and quality of medieval craftsmanship.

Alfred Sisley | Works

Sisley's student works are lost.

His first landscape paintings are sombre, coloured with dark browns, greens, and pale blues.

They were often executed at Marly and Saint-Cloud. Little is known about Sisley's relationship with the paintings of J. M. W. Turner and John Constable, which he may have seen in London, but some have suggested that these artists may have influenced his development as an Impressionist painter, as may have Gustave Courbet and Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot.

Italian painter Alessandro Andreuccetti is born in San Gimignano, Italy. He studied art and architecture in Florence and, after graduating, started his job in 1980 as a graphic designer.

From 1978 he was interested in watermedia painting, fascinated with this technique and the support of hand-worked paper. He was showing paintings in many italian towns.

Edward Hopper | Magic Realism painter

Edward Hopper (1882-1967) was born in Nyack, New York, to a middle-class family.

After he graduated high school in 1899, his parents, though supportive of his artistic ambitions, encouraged him to pursue commercial illustration.

He studied at the Correspondence School of Illustrating in New York City for a year before enrolling in classes at the New York School of Art in 1900, where he switched his focus to fine art.

There, Hopper studied under William Merritt Chase (American, 1849-1916) and Robert Henri (American, 1865-1929), who encouraged their students to paint the everyday realities of the world around them.

Ichiro Tsuruta è nato nel 1954 nella città di Amakusa, nella prefettura di Kumamoto.

Era un ragazzo che andava a giocare sulle montagne e nei fiumi vicini subito dopo essere tornato da scuola, ma fin da allora dimostrò anche un talento artistico, vincendo sempre premi nei concorsi di disegno.

Intorno al secondo anno di scuola media, Tsuruta iniziò a nutrire ammirazione per Keiichi Tanaami, Akira Uno e Tadanori Yokoo ed altri, ed il suo obiettivo era diventare un illustratore.

Dopo il diploma di scuola superiore, Tsuruta proseguì gli studi alla Tama Art University, dove si laureò in graphic design.
