I am a Johannesburg based artist. I create paintings that are unique to South Africa and Africa. My work focuses on the world around me. I do not always create a realistic representation of what I observe but often walk into a landscape and rather paint what I feel than what I see. “My work is a celebration of life and the power of the universe. We have such a strong connection with the universe but it is often masked by our strive for existence and survival”. ”I expect my audience, when they see my work, to be triggered by something they know so well but have neglected to acknowledge for some time. To awaken in them a feeling or memory, that will strengthen their connection with the earth and their reason for living”.

Laura Robb grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and entered art school at the age of sixteen. In 1974, Laura moved to New York City to study with Michael Aviano, and after returning to the Southwest, had the opportunity to receive critiques of her work by Richard Schmid. Since moving to Taos, New Mexico in 1986, Laura's art travels have taken her to France, Spain, Guatemala, and across the United States. She has exhibited in numerous group and one person shows and received many awards. Her paintings, in both watercolor and oil, portray a variety of subject matter. She continues to create still-life, figurative and landscape works from her studio near Taos, New Mexico.

Her paintings have been featured at venues such as the world-famous Saatchi Gallery and Mall Galleries in London, Venice Arsenale in Italy and many others in New York, Miami, Venice, Hamburg, and Marseille etc. Her works are in private collections worldwide, including Gustav Metzger private collection. Arina studied at the Central Saint Martins College of Art graduated with Master’s degree (MA) in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Art, University of the Arts London. Just as he was beginning to make his way in the art world with his own individual work, there came the Nazi annexation of Austria. David Bowers, 1956

David Bowers, born 1956 in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania and graduated from art school in Pittsburgh in 1979.  He began working as a staff artist at various studios in Pittsburgh. Two years later, David began teaching at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh where he lectured for ten years.  This job was perfect for Bowers at the time due to the short hours in the classroom.  These short workdays enabled a lot of free time to perfect his painting technique before he entered the illustration field.

Essa fu descritta da Plinio il Giovane in due lettere in cui raccontava le tragiche circostanze della morte dello zio, Plinio il Vecchio, partito con una nave dal porto militare di Miseno (Campi Flegrei) per portare soccorso agli abitanti di Pompei a seguito dell'eruzione.

Da qui il termine eruzione pliniana per questo tipo di fenomeno particolarmente violento e distruttivo.

Born in Riga, Latvia, Anita Kreituse graduated 1972 J. Rozentals Art School in Riga and admitted Latvian Academy of Arts in the same year.
